Takeisha and Melvin Wedding Sneak Peek

Hey gang,

Here are a few images from yesterday's wedding at the fantastic Carahills II with Takeisha and Melvin. Not only are they a wonderful couple, but both of their families were super friendly and treated me just like one of the family. Thank y'all for allowing me to be a part of your special day. Also, thank you to Crystal Courtney who also photographed the day. I appreciate you very much!

Best Clients Part Two

Hey gang,

I thought I'd share another testimonial with y'all. This one is from Kirstin Kabo and Jeff Brown. (You check check out their previous blog post HERE) I'm sharing this not to "toot my own horn", but to build that most fragile of qualities, trust. Well, maybe I'm "tooting my horn" just a little. :-) Here's the testimonial:

When we first met Rick in March 2010 for our initial meeting face to face, we felt so comfortable with him that it felt like we had all been friends for years.  It was only natural that we choose him as our wedding photographer.  He was also the only photographer that we met that would go that extra mile…. to make us laugh, to put us at ease, and to answer all of our questions patiently.  He is extremely down to earth, has a wonderful personality, and a fun sense of humor.  And, his quality of work just blew us away!!  We knew we had to have him for our wedding.

We were beyond thrilled when we saw our engagement photos and we can’t wait for the wedding photos.  Rick Grainger is such a pleasure to work with and we are truly blessed to have found him as our photographer.

          Thank you!
          ~Kirstin & Jeff

And since a blog post is better with a photo; here's another image from their engagement session.

Best clients in the world!

A short while ago, I asked Brittany Fisher (who along with her fiancĂ©, Michael was featured on the blog HERE) to write a few words as a testimonial when she had the time. Well, I am very grateful and humbled by what she wrote; and I wanted to share it with you. Thank you very much, Brittany! I am honored; and I truly do have the best clients in the world.

"Working with Rick on our engagement photo shoot was an amazing experience. He sat down with us beforehand and really took the time to figure out what locations had meaning to us. He made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and his ideas turned out beautifully. I couldn't be happier with the pictures. Rick braved sprinkling rain for us and you would never know that it was raining from how the pictures turned out - they are absolutely breathtaking! I also would like to mention that Rick has a great, outgoing personality that makes you feel completely comfortable. You can tell that he truly loves what he does and it shows through in his work. He is great and I recommend him to anyone and everyone!"

And since every blog post is better with a photo, here's another one from their session. Enjoy!

Thomas and Janice Engagement

Hey gang!

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to photograph Thomas' and Janice's Engagement Portraits in downtown Collierville. What a fantastic couple. If you ever meet them, you will know how strong their love is for each other. They laugh together and as the great philosopher, Gump once put it, they go together like peas and carrots. :-) Below are just a few selections from yesterday's session, but more can be seen if you get the password from the bride or groom.

Alicia and Darius Engagement

This evening, I met with Alicia and Darius to photograph there engagement photos. We were going to start at Tom Lee Park.....bad idea. The park was being set up for Memphis in May and was in no condition for photography. No problem! We moved over to Harbortown and got some fantastic images there, then went to Beale Street to finish up their session. Here are just a few of the photos that were captured. As you can see, they are quite a fun-loving and energetic couple. Enjoy!!

Delectables Catering at Minglewood

Last Saturday, I had the opportunity to work again with Olivia Ward and Delectables Catering. This time we were a little closer to home at Minglewood Hall in Midtown Memphis. This was a beautiful wedding and Olivia and her crew were at their usual very best. Here are a few images from that day. Also, there are more to check out here if you'd like. Enjoy!!
